3rd Station of the Rose Cross - The Cross

Gospel of the Beloved Companion - 39: 3 But there were standing by the cross of Yeshua his mother [Mary] and his mother's sister, Miryam the wife of Clopas; and Miryam the beloved companion also called the Migdalah.

Mary’s Saying #16: Mary said, “If you know the path of the moon you will know the path of the sun. With this knowledge and understanding, follow the path of light which is beyond the sun or the moon. This is the path of the cross.”

In the lunation cycle, the New Moon and Sun are always in conjunction and together express the symbolism of Unity, or Divine Union. Interestingly, the crucifixion is described biblically as taking place during an eclipse - when the moon is united with the sun – which is symbolic of the Divine Union of the masculine and feminine in alchemy.

Legends say that when the Magdalene wept under the cross, her tears turned to roses, creating the Rose Cross.
